When our homes are clutter free and clean we can feel clear minded and energised. Stress can be reduced as every item has a place. We instantly know where to find the things we need when we need them. There is a sense of openness and harmony, physically, mentally and spiritually.
As well as the obvious clutter and mess that we can accumulate around our living space, it’s important that our rooms receive a regular energetic clean too.
Our spaces can be cleansed in many ways including opening windows to allow air to circulate, letting out the stagnant energy and welcoming in the fresh outdoors.
One of my favourite ways to cleanse both my energetic field and space within my home is to burn sage, incense and Palo Santo. I especially love the sweet aroma of the Palo Santo wood, which has a tranquil, calming effect.
Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing energy and space. The practice dates back to prehistoric times and has been documented in every corner of the world by our ancestors.
Sound is a great clearing technique too, whether that be playing uplifting or soothing music that resonates with you or the use of chimes, singing bowls, drums or dancing/movement to shift the energy.
Other methods that are useful in creating a positive, peaceful environment are placing crystals around the home and or on your person, the use of essential oils in diffusers or diluted in sprays to spritz the space and or your aura.
If you are putting positive intentions into your cleansing routine, this is a powerful method that is guaranteed to shift any negative and stagnant energy.
