The lead up to Christmas can be a busy time of year and to make life run a little smoother, here are some wellbeing suggestions that might help you to keep centred and more present (and definately a note to myself too!)…
1. FORGET THE SHOULDS
Make sure that you are not saying no to yourself whilst you are saying yes to everyone and everything else, which may cross your boundaries or stretch you too thin. We can feel obliged to keep up with the Christmas traditions which can result in spending more money than we can afford, more time socialising, indulging in more generally, however that may show up. Feel no guilt in keeping to what makes you feel safe, healthy, happy and content.
2. GET OUTDOORS
Make time for yourself or with family and friends to go for walks in nature, whether it be a short stroll or a longer planned walk. The open space, the fresh air and beauty of nature can restore balance to your mind, body and soul.
3. MAKE NOURISHING MEALS
Spend some time preparing and making a warm and nourishing meal. Setting time aside to be concious of fueling your body well, results in a loving act of kindness to yourself and your loved ones and will boost your immunity over the cold winter months.
4. MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
Schedule in some time to do something that will uplift and relax you at this time of year, something that speaks just to you. Whether that is reading a book, being creative, pampering yourself, meeting up with friends, anything that if you slow down and tune in, you’ll know exactly what you are yearning for and what you need.
